About Amily
Amily helps job seekers in Cameroon apply faster and better, and publishes listings that are checked before they go live. This page states exactly what the service does, how it does it, and what it does not do.
What Amily does
For a candidate: import your CV, generate a version tailored to a specific listing, write the matching cover letter, and practise for the interview. Signing up is free; the AI features use credits.
For an employer: publish a listing, receive applications already in shape, and narrow down the shortlist through targeted interview simulations.
For everyone, without an account: browse the verified listings, search the company directory, and have a suspicious ad received on WhatsApp or Facebook analysed for free.
How a listing is checked
Listings are collected daily from job boards and career pages, then rewritten and screened before publication. Nothing goes live automatically: a human approves every ad.
- Any ad asking for a “processing fee” is rejected. No legitimate recruitment asks a candidate for money, at any stage.
- Ads setting a sex requirement are rejected. We reject the ad, not the employer: their other roles stay published.
- Calls for tender and public procurement notices are not published. They are not salaried positions, and tailoring a CV to one would waste time and money.
- When an ad carries risk without deserving rejection — an employer absent from every registry, an unusual application channel — it is published with a visible warning and a lowered confidence score.
- Every listing carries its closing date. A closed ad drops out of the lists: sending someone to prepare an application for a filled role is the worst thing you can do to them.
Sources are credited
A listing collected from a third-party site is rewritten and links back to the original ad. Amily does not claim to be the source of what it relays.
What Amily protects
Employer contact details are shown only to signed-in users. A public page listing hundreds of recruitment addresses would be scraped within hours and resold as a prospecting file: it is the employers who would be exposed.
CVs, contact details and applications live behind a session and are excluded from indexing.
What Amily is not
- It is not a recruitment agency: Amily does not select candidates on an employer’s behalf.
- It is not a guarantee of employment, nor a guarantee that any given listing leads anywhere.
- Amily does not stand between a candidate and an employer: the application goes to the channel the ad specifies.
